Geez, this gal belongs on a poster! James Beard Best Chef nominee, Chef Katy Millard @coquinepdx , is quite the bubbly powerhouse. This wife, mother, business owner, and classically trained chef seems to be on an endless grind of her own ambitions.
Coquine, small and quietly nestled up on Mt. tabor, is a neighborhood restaurant that has made some astoundingly emphatic noise for itself as of late. French, seasonal, and seemingly nostalgic, Coquine offers dishes that, upon tasting, engrave a place of their own deep within your brain to be tenderly called upon later. It is safe to say that the menu, mischievous and playful, is an echo of the rambunctious woman who devises it.
Oh, and have your tried her cookies?!
Chef Katy Millard has asked that a portion of the proceeds go to Friends of Family Farmers. Please visit www.friendsoffamilyfarms.org or check out @foffinthefield for more info!
